Filon Plate is a uniquely formulated GRP flat sheet which has been developed as a base product for the production of all types of signs and signage. The product is seen as a competitive alternative to aluminium which is used extensively in signage.

The exceptional qualities of Filon Plate make it ideal for temporary traffic, road, commercial and industrial sign applications. The product has been developed with significant improvements in ridgidity and strength, plus it is very robust and will withstand extreme conditions. One of its special characteristics is that unlike aluminium it has no scrap value, thereby eliminating the constant problems of theft.

The essential qualifications of Filon Plate are :

Excellent characteristics with regard to weathering, atmospheric pollution

resistance and high impact damage.

Covered with Class 1 retro-reflective vinyl's from 3M and Nikkalite it meets

the requirements of the accelerated weathering tests.

3M and Nikkalite have both tested for peel adhesion, outgassing, plasticiser

migration, and state when covered with their respective vinyl's Filon Plate

gives comparable results to aluminium substrates.

Compatible with 3M Scotchlite and Nikkalite reflective films.

Self coloured grey or white panels need no reverse painting.
