Q: What are the benefits of upgrading?

Q: Which systems can be upgraded to Hipath 3000?
A: Hicom 112 & 118, Hicom 150E modular and the Hicom office range.
Q: Will there be a lot of disruption to my telephone service during the upgrade?
A: In most cases your existing database can be simply re-compiled as a Hipath 3000 without any loss of program settings. I.e. extension numbering names and extension group remain the same. An upgrade can take less than 30 minutes
Q: I do not need VOIP, or new voice mail or other new features right now, so how will an upgrade benefit me?
A1: Siemens no longer supports many older systems. Some critical parts are no longer manufactured and there is no more technical training or documentation. With staff churn and retirement, maintainer Know How and system familiarity start to disappear. Re-configuration becomes more problematic. To reflect this annual maintenance charges are often more expensive for older systems.
A2: With the Hipath 3000 as well as new features, you will find that many features you already enjoy, have been improved beyond measure, being more comprehensive and easier to use.
A3: Just like purchasing the latest model car or computer you will be delighted by new and handy features you had never thought of. After a short period you’ll wonder how you managed without them.
A4: There are maintenance and administrative developments in the later systems such as Hipath 3000 which could reduce moves and changes costs as well as facilitating rapid remote problem diagnosis.
