Tourist Attractions
Some of the most famous images of Brighton are the spectacular Royal Pavillion , the sumptuous folly created by the Prince Regent and Brighton Pier , which has the biggest funfair on the South coast and is open 365 days a year.

Famous for its lively nightlife and cosmopolitan feel, its funky shops and its terrace cafes, it's no wonder that Brighton is commonly known as London by the sea.
Nightlife in Brighton is varied and lively, and many people come down from London to Brighton to experience our unique night scene. Perhaps our most famous resident, Fatboy Slim plays at the Big Beat Boutique and offers the residents of Brighton a free gig every summer on the beach . Fun-loving and cosmopolitan, Brighton offers a variety of experiences for the clubber. Watersports

Brighton has a beautiful marina, to the east of the city which has a number of lively bars and restaurants and is a very attractive and popular place to spend an evening. Arts and Culture
We have a strong arts scene, and every May, Brighton hosts the Brighton Festival, a celebration of arts, which attracts people from all over the country. (see www.brighton-festival.org.uk ) Innovative theatre and dance acts perform at Komedia , at the Gardner Arts Centre , and at the Brighton Dome . There is also a considerable alternative music scene.

Those who love the outdoors, mountain biking, trekking or even paragliding and Llama trekking!!! can visit the South Downs, the beautiful countryside surrounding Brighton and Hove. Golf Courses, markets, harbours, vineyards and nature reserves, there's so much to see within half an hour of Brighton and Hove, it'll be difficult to find the time to fit it all in!

Traditional Festivals
Traditional festivals are also an important element of Brighton's culture, and on the shortest day of the year, the Burning the Clocks, a giant lantern parade and fireshow, (see www.samesky.co.uk ) works its way along the sea front, and Lewes, just 15 minutes by train, hosts the most famous firework display on Guy Fawkes night (5th November).
