18-Week Part-Time Graphics Technology Certificate
The course offers a high level of specialised Digital Design and general Mac/PC skills training which can open the door to a range of challenging and fulfilling careers for those who enjoy working within creative environments.
Beginning with training in the Mac/PC operating system, this programme quickly moves on to focus on the key Industry Standard publishing applications. Emphasis is given to using Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign in the real life context; this is achieved through the use of practical examples and demonstrations.
In addition you will learn the background principles, methods, tricks and tips to make you an efficient producer of publications for various markets within the print production industry.
Please note that an emphasis is placed on acquiring fundamental software skills through a series of progressively challenging assignments which mirror professional studio projects - the objective is not to make you a Graphic Artist.

The course is 'hands-on' and uses student centred learning to complete projects that are geared toward industry. The groups are small and lead by a successful, practicing web-designer. you train using industry standard packages Macromedia Dreamweaver and Macromedia Fireworks, making this course focused on the current and future requirements of this cutting. The course starts with the basic building blocks of HTML development. It is aimed at both students who are complete beginners in this field and also those who have an in-depth knowledge of other technologies but need to update their current skill base in this cutting edge industry.

18-Week Evening Web Design Certificate
This course is delivered using Dreamweaver, the industry standard software for Web publishing. Dreamweaver's powerful tools allow you to construct, develop and maintain your website in design and HTML formats. Emphasis is given to using Dreamweaver in the real life context; this is achieved through the use of practical examples and demonstrations.
After completing the course, students will be able to format images, create animated gifs and utilise cascading style sheets to format web pages. The aim of this programme is to build sites that can be formatted quickly and incorporate dynamic elements into pages.

Beginning with elementary introduction to the world of Publication Layout, the course quickly develops into an intensive training package in the specialist skills of the Desk Top Publisher.
