HERITAGE
Our natural and cultural heritage in both town and country are rich and complex resources that require careful planning, conservation and management. CBA is a leader in assessing the value of landscapes and historic places and using this to balance the conservation of these values with proposed tourism or other development.
At the broad scale techniques such as landscape characterisation and evaluation is regularly used by us to formulate local, regional, and national planning policies and devise design guidelines. As part of the planning process our environmental assessment team also appraise the wider impact of development on natural and cultural assets and generate impact mitigation strategies.
We undertake site conservation management plans and Masterplans for sensitive places, such as World Heritage Sites and use these as a framework for the creation of suitable visitor attractions and learning centres.
