Hospitals, dentist surgeries and other healthcare facilities specify solid surface for patient rooms, reception areas and even operating rooms because it is hygienic, durable and easy to clean and maintain. Recent dental LDU legislation states that all surfaces should be impervious and easily cleanable, and that worksurfaces should be continuous, non-slip and where possible jointless.
