Wooden worktops are one of the best ways of achieving a traditional, rustic country cottage effect in your kitchen, but also lends itself to more modern designs. Hardwood worktops, if treated with respect, will provide a natural beauty to your kitchen that is hard to replicate.
One of the main advantages of a wooden worktop is that, unlike other surfaces which age over time and usage, wood does not lose its original splendour; in fact, it gains character over time. Some woods become richer and deeper in colour over time, becoming a part of your home in a personal way that other materials will not. A solid wooden worktop also has the added benefit of having the same unique grain running through the inside. If you want to drill through the wood, shape the edges or even carve designs into the wood, the continuity of the grain gives a finish no other material will. The durability of wooden worktops also means that surface damage or scratches can be easily sanded away to reveal a fresh surface.

About Mr Worktops
Here at Mr Worktops, we are more than just worktop suppliers or kitchen fitters. We have operated from our South London base for many years, providing a service that takes you from the original design to the final installation of kitchens, worksurfaces and bathrooms. Several of our kitchens have been featured in national design and home magazines, including the Ideal Homes Magazine, and our solid surfaces are regularly used in leading restaurants & offices.
We pride ourselves on being a Staron solid surface 'premier fabricator' (one of only 32 nationwide), and an authorised Corian and Hanex solid surface fabricator. We have our own in-house workshop facility that enables us to design and fabricate just about any worktop or kitchen. Thanks to our suppliers, we can combine many various materials and colours in order to bring you the kitchen you've always wanted.
