Multiple
Site Time Lapse
|
Most
time lapse systems acquire a single data set over the given
time period. Recent advances in stage technology and data handling,
allow users to acquire 50 or even 100 time lapse data sets in
a given period. A seperate data file for each position is produced
with all the experimental data stored in one file. Single images
can be extracted, and the actual
time-stamp can be incorporated into an AVI movie.

Digital
Autofocus
|
The
technology described above is
considerably enhanced by the use of digital autofocus. The
autofocus can be used to set the fluorescence or brightfield
channel. This system has been used, developed and enhanced
over a three year period. Use it to make your experiments
work!

SimplePCI
when combined with the DIA Dynamic
Intensity Analysis, module allows the user to measure
fluorescence intensities and ratios from a number of predetermined
regions in realtime.

FRET
or Fluorescence Resonant Energy Transfer is a powerful technique
that provides information about protein proten interations.

Embryology |
Professor
Keith Campbell was involved in the pioneering work on "Dolly
the sheep" at the Roslin Institute. He is in the process
of starting a laboratory that will replicate and develop these
techniques. Digital Pixel and SimplePCI have been selected to
form the core microscopy systems for this laboratory.
