Flexible Conduit
Takbro supply one of the foremost ranges of
metal and plastic type flexible conduit to origin all
equipment manufacturers, wholesalers and industrial end users of all kinds. We
also supply crimp terminals, cable ties, electronic connectors, cable markers,
labels and label printers, heatshrink and sleeving, busbar systems, interface
products, surge arrester products and automatic and hand tooling for wire
preparation and crimping.
Takbro offers no fewer than 16 ranges of flexible conduit, manufactured from materials which include nylon, polypropylene, PVC and stainless steel. With internal diameters from 10 to 50 mm, and operating temperatures from -60 to +400 degrees centigrade, these products comprehensively cover most industrial applications.
Among the most versatile of the new flexible conduit
products are those manufactured from medium gauge nylon and
supplied in sizes from 12 to 50mm. Their limited fire hazard and halogen free
properties, together with a superb IP66 protection rating, make them an ideal
choice for industrial applications where the mechanical protection of steel is
not required. Also available from Takbro is a complementary range of push-on,
pull-off glands which require no extra seals to achieve IP66 protection.
For applications where flexible conduit must be fitted to existing wiring, Takbro offers a range of slit nylon two part flexible conduit. Similar in general properties to the standard flexible conduit nylon range, this is supplied in diameters from 16 to 25 mm and offers IP55 protection.
Where superior mechanical protection is needed, Takbro provides a choice of products manufactured from galvanised steel, galvanised steel with a PVC outer sheath, and stainless steel. The galvanised steel types of flexible conduit are crush resistant up to 1500N , and the non-sheathed version may be used at temperatures up to 400 degrees centigrade. Stainless steel flexible conduit products are particularly suitable for use in the food industry, and where exceptional corrosion resistance is essential. PVC sheathed products can be specified with a double overlapped, high grade flame resistant plastic (Megolon) jacket. This is particularly suitable for applications in fire risk areas as protection against fire effects, e.g. corrosion, toxicity, smoke and gas emission.
