Regulations recommend that all new electrical installations are tested and certified by a competent company. Distribution boards need to be tested every 5 years in commercial premises. However, annual inspections are wise if systems are older than 5 years.
Landlords are required to provide tenants with a electrical landlord certificate when they first move into the premises. DX Electrica can provide landlord certificates and give landlords electrical advice in this matter.
Inspection and testing of portable appliances should be carried out every six months for all commercial premises. DX Electrica are PAT test qualified and can carry out this service.
