TASK Close Protection Training Courses

The TASK course to train the Close Protection Officer (CPO) is designed to give potential CPOs the very best knowledge and skills required to become a prime operator.

TASK graduates gain a comprehensive package of qualifications that are not only recognised by the Security Industry but are also relevant to industry and business in general. This is a Ministry of Defence recognised course.

The programme is recognised by the UK Government as a vocational training course, resulting in reduced costs and is accepted by the Ministry of Defence Career Transition Partnership.



Security Industry Authority

The TASK International Close Protection Officers course leads to the relevant qualifications as required by the Security Industry Authority for application for a Close Protection Officers licence.

Students come from all areas of civilian and military backgrounds. TASK International has a wide client base of students from all over the world. TASK has carried out Close Protection training courses outside of the UK for civilian and government organisations.

Course Outline

Duration:

The course is three weeks in duration, encompassing 150 hours knowledge and practical skills training. The course also includes the four day HSE approved First Aid at Work certificate which is a requirement for application for Close Protection licence by the SIA.

Training is undertaken in East Sussex at the International Study Centre, based in the historic Herstmonceux Castle

Course Cost:


(£2548.94 + VAT) £2995 inc VAT – The cost of the course includes course examination and certification from outside awarding bodies and single occupancy Bed and Breakfast in a local Hotel. TASK International is part of the Careers Transition Partnership and approved as a MOD supplier. We are able to accept Enhanced Learning Credits and Resettlement Grant towards payment.

Close Protection Refresher Training:

Students who already hold a Close Protection training qualification and are exempt form undertaking the full 3 week Close Protection course as per the SIA requirement. For further information can be obtained from the SIA website

The refresher training course is in two parts

Part 1: First Aid HSE four day course. £250

Part 2: Close Protection refresher training package 2 ½ day course. £350
