Formed in 1974 the Company was originally based in Hove, East Sussex, at which time the majority of work undertaken was the construction of new local authority housing. As the Company became established, work was secured throughout all major sectors.

In order to expand the geographical area we moved to Haywards Heath in 1983, and to our larger purpose built office in Boltro Road in 1989. The Company is financially secure with a highly competent management team and a willing and enthusiastic workforce.

We are Partner and Framework Contractors with East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey County Councils with accreditations including ISO 9001, CHAS, Constructionline (Reg. No. 2729), NHBC (Reg. 41899).

Groundworks and civil engineering is carried out in-house, enabling us to bring practical solutions to any difficulties encountered in the ground and ensuring that this important element of the contract is resourced to completion. Our fully trained workforce is widely experienced in all aspects of groundworks construction, with an ongoing training programme to ensure that essential skills are kept up to date.

The Company's Environmental and Waste Minimisation and Sustainability policies have been adopted on all sites and in head office, and we are committed to delivering value and benefits to the communities in which we work.

Health and Safety is of paramount importance on all our building projects. Our Health and Safety Advisors regularly visit each site providing written inspection reports, and independent advice on safe working practices, compliance with statutory provisions,and training. Our Health and Safety record is monitored throughout the building process and finally as a Key Performance Indicator.

Sunninghill is committed to the promotion of professional and skills training and the support of apprentices within the industry, both directly and through our Supply Chain. We support organisations including TrAC, CoTrain, SECBE and the CITB.
