Lead researcher: Dr. Ana María Ibáñez

Ana María is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics. Her research focuses on the causes and consequences of forced migration stemming from civil wars; the economic costs of crime and conflict; and environmental valuation in developing countries.

Her work has mainly looked at Colombia.

Researcher: Dr. Andrés Moya

Andrés is a PhD Student at the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department, University of Wisconsin, Madison, and he is also involved with some research projects at Universidad de los Andes. His research has focused on the causes and consequences of forced migration stemming from civil wars; the effectiveness of drug policy in Colombia; and the political economy of budget inflexibilities in Latin America.
