One of FDO’s key differentiators is that we help our clients run the financial side of their business on a day to day basis. If you give us the authority we will take the necessary business decisions. We try to act as closely as we can to how we would act if employed by you directly on your payroll. Our principal services are:
Financial management and control
We can take all the decisions that you would expect to be taken by an in-house Finance Director, Financial Controller or Accountant.
Preparation of management information
Preparing all management information required, ensuring it is available on-line and/or in hard copy format. We do our utmost to ensure that all such information is readily understandable and that we highlight the key issues.
Financial planning, budgeting and business plans
Budgeting and planning is a critical part of virtually any business. We use our years of experience to help you to prepare realistic budgets and business plans, based on sound business assumptions.
Treasury and cash management
We can manage your cashflow on a day to day basis. If volumes justify it we can operate a complete treasury function, ensuring that interest receivable is maximised and both interest payable and foreign currency exposure are minimised.
Bank and other lenders relationship management
We can help you manage the relationship with your business bankers and other lenders. We understand the issues. You reap the benefit.
Management of specialist advice/other professional advisers
In most cases we can provide you with all the financial information you need. We do not however seek to be investment advisers, registered auditors, lawyers or tax specialists. If specialist advice is required we will help you obtain it, keeping your other professional advice costs to a minimum.
Special projects
We will help you with other special projects as required. Recent projects have included the upgrading of management information systems, assisting with the acquisition of another business and reviewing the cost-effectiveness of a company’s finance function.
