In 1990 McPherson & Partners joined the UK200 Group of Practising Chartered Accountants.

The UK200 Group is a group of around 200 well established firms of Chartered Accountants throughout the UK and has links to firms in all areas of business and finance throughout the world. The group restricts its membership and this, together with stringent quality control procedures, ensures that members are of the very highest quality.

One of the UK200 Group's main priorities is to ensure that the law and the accountancy profession are not geared up for only large public companies. The group recognises the different needs of small companies and of owner-managed businesses. It plays a significant role in making sure that the needs of these businesses are addressed.

The UK200 Group monitors the standards of its members by carrying out regular checks on firms' procedures and practices. It imposes stringent regulations on it's members to ensure that the firms' clients receive the best service available in the profession.
