Dorgard
receives seal of approval
Fireco Ltd proudly
accepted a Quality Endorsement Award recently from the Guild of Master
Craftsmen, as recognition of exceptional service and product quality for
their Dorgard fire door stay. Guild Secretary, Mr Alan Phillips, presented
the award at their head office in Lewes, East Sussex.
Following independent
testing, the Council of Management unanimously granted the Guild's approval,
which entitles Fireco Ltd to use the instantly recognisable emblem in
all their marketing and advertising material. The main objective of awarding
Dorgard the Quality Endorsement membership is to assure customers that
the product complies with the highest standards. Other notable guild members
include Harrods, Rolls Royce, Wedgewood and Burberry.
Dorgard, manufactured
by Fireco Ltd, is a cost-effective, battery operated, fire door stay,
which requires no wiring and takes just a few minutes to install. It is
simple to operate and holds a fire door open with a rubber stopper which
makes contact with the floor. Dorgard's integral microphone then listens
for the fire alarm.
When the alarm sounds,
the stopper retracts allowing the door to swing closed.
Dorgard provides a
simple and effective way of holding fire doors open in busy environments
such as nursing homes, hotels and offices. The product complies with all
applicable EC directives, and has been tested to the recently published
BS EN 1155. Dorgard is now available in 10 standard colours to suit corporate
interior schemes.
