The Hassocks Soulsby Family

There are five of us living in Hassocks at the moment. My wife and I moved to the area from Berkshire just after we married and our three children were all born locally and attend local schools and colleges.

Chris - currently working for a supermarket chain I had a total knee replacement in August 2010 which has started giving me problems so am due to go back to hospital soon to get it sorted out. I was born on July 19th 1954 in Gosport where my father was based in the Navy and my mother in the Wrens. I joined the Merchant Navy when I was eighteen and spent six years travelling the world. There are some wonerful places and people out there but for me England was somewhere I was always happy to come back to. I then spent some time working in the IT field in various guises before moving into my current job. I am now looking towards returning to IT in web development and am takin my Adobe ACA exams in Dreamweaver and Flash.

Alison - works for the NHS as a Medical Laboratory Scienific Officer. She took a long break when we started our family and tried her hand at teaching for a couple of years before returning to the NHS. Alison was born on the 3rd of March 1963 in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The number 3 is her lucky number, I wonder if that is why we have three children? Kept busy with work, the children and the house she still finds time to sing with a local choir and attend a local craft group.

Robert - is at college taking A level physics, maths and politics and hopes to go on to university studying physics.

Eleanor - is in her last year at school and hopes to go to college to take textiles and design.

Tom - still has a couple of years to go at school and is undecided about what he wants to do.
