It’s a busy time for those operating the payroll, not least in terms of generating the year end returns but also in regard to getting to grips with the volume of legislative changes that have either been recently introduced, or that will be in the future. In addition HMRCs ever more aggressive stance on those that miss deadlines means it’s a stressful timefor those responsible for payroll matters.
This newsletter will hopefully ease some of those stresses by ensuring you’re up to date with the key changes in legislation – including auto-enrolment and compulsory pension contributions, the treatment of loans made by a company to shareholders and changes to Employee Share Schemes. It will also provide an update on the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI) including the experiences of some of our clients filing their returns electronically for the first time.
