and Hove are licensed by the City Council, and undergo periodic police,
medical and DVLA checks with the annual licence renewal. Briefly, the
requirements to obtain a licence are to pass all of the periodic checks
above, obtain a BTEC qualification in transporting passengers, pass the DSA
(Driving Standards Agency) test for taxi drivers and demonstrate a working
