Fact File
This Grade II* listed building was previously occupied by the Chinese Embassy. The development cartel acquired the building and successfully sought planning for conversion to 31 luxury high specification apartments. These ranged in size from one to four bedrooms. Kaymac undertook to carry out major structural alterations, roof renewal, window replacement, basement construction, upper floor renewals, fa?ade refurbishment, as well as lift installation and complex services installation including a mechanically controlled smoke extract system. Kaymac's fitting-out side achieved a high standard of finishings in relation to bespoke joinery, ornate cornices derived from original moulds, stone fireplaces, granite work tops and limestone floors, hardwood floors, and modern kitchens and bathrooms as well as paying particular attention to the historical features such as staircases, stained glass and balustrading that gave this building its listed status. Kaymac completed this project to a satisfactory conclusion over a two year period.
