Via Systems: A positive effect on the balance sheet
Objectives and tasks
Via Systems, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards,
needed to rationalise their real estate portfolio in Europe
and Asia and deliver a visible cost reduction.
Among our tasks were:
- Verifying and managing-out redundant plant
- Providing advice on decommissioning contaminated
land and its subsequent marketing
Resourcing
Fulcrum provided a fully outsourced, turnkey service,
reporting to Via System's financial team.
Outcomes and benefits
The savings resulting from disposals and redeployment
made a positive impact on Via System's bottom line, and a
lower cost base has given them a stronger competitive advantage.
