Valentine & Co is a firm of dedicated insolvency practitioners specialising in all aspects of insolvency, corporate and personal, as well as, where possible, providing advice for corporate and personal financial survival.

Valentine & Co prides itself on an ability to quickly identify the problems that need to be addressed and give clear, concise and pragmatic advice.

In relation to corporate insolvency, we can provide advice for companies and their directors in relation to their statutory obligations when the business is in trouble and has cashflow problems and creditor pressure. Where the company is insolvent we can arrange its liquidation but if rescue is possible we will recommend the best course of action such as a company voluntary arrangement or an application for administration order.

We will also advise directors on other matters such as disqualification and where there is creditor pressure and possibly a winding-up petition has been issued we will negotiate with the petitioning creditor to avoid compulsory liquidation and the unnecessary attendant costs and delays that can arise.

In relation to personal insolvency (be it as a sole trader or in a partnership), where bankruptcy is unavoidable we will explain the duties of a bankrupt but it may be possible to avoid bankruptcy by way of an individual voluntary arrangement.

We can quickly arrange a members voluntary liquidation where the company is solvent so that an early distribution to creditors can be made.

We can also act as administrative receiver for debenture holders who wish to place a company into administrative receivership if they are experiencing financial problems with a debtor company.
