For every child - Health Education Equality Protection Advance Humanity This World Wide Charity has 2 offices based in London & Billericay and a user base of 150 utilising MS Network Operating Software.

BVR provide IT support, advice and implement the IT strategy. We have engineers on site regularly for maintenance visits.

Working closely with the internal network user group, who represent the needs of the employees, we attend bi-monthly meetings with the objective of developing an understanding of the requirements of all parties. Following these meetings we have instigated a help desk response programme and introduced a complete Service Level Agreement for the network users.

BVR have been heavily involved on the move to the new offices of the Essex based office of 50 users. Our task included advising on communication links and the IT infrastructure. All hardware & software has been installed by BVR engineers.

A.O.P. Represent individual optometrists, whatever their mode of practice. The Association also represents a small number of dispensing opticians. Their aim is to Promote the professional and clinical independence of its members and the profession.

They began as a Novell Netware based network running over ISDN Lines. They have over 30 Users.

After inheriting this network in 1994 and maintaining the I.T. Network for several years BVR migrated it to Microsoft Windows and Exchange Server. We also installed and configured new Desktops and upgraded the infrastructure to Cat 5 structured cabling. They have moved offices twice since we have been looking after their I.T. AND we have supported them during the move and reconfiguration.

We have replaced the direct ISDN lines with Broadband and included VPN Technology and Terminal Server for remote users.

A.O.P. have their own database and need to send regular communications to their members. They make extensive use of filters on Exchange for their Emails.

BVR are responsible for the day to day management of the I.T. infrastructure and we also provide them with an extensive disaster recovery plan in the event of a major loss of data or File Server. We perform a monthly health check to optimise the system and ensure all software is patched correctly with the latest updates.

Bloomsbury Publishing Testimonial - Allan Dixon - Facilities Manager

"In 1992 BVR were contracted to maintain our computer network, in those early days Bloomsbury Publishing numbered a total staff of 40. In 2009 the staff count is over 200 and BVR have total control of our Network Infrastructure, they not only maintain our Computer Network, they have managed and designed our infrastructure during a period of rapid growth.

The Help Desk is manned by BVR staff, which includes a management liaison with the Board of Bloomsbury Plc . The SLA's are met and usually exceeded and with the ever changing and increasing needs our company, we are able to be proactive with our business knowing the Computer Technology is in place and the support is consistent.

We have expanded to 4 buildings in Soho Square, plus offices in Germany and USA. All the development of our Computer Technology has been handled by the Team at BVR.

We are very happy to recommend the services of this company, who have always gone the extra mile in supporting and planning our company growth.

Their key strengths are their ability to respond quickly and efficiently and we have excellent communication with all key members of their Sales and Technical teams. We feel well looked after in what can only be described as a very personalised business relationship."
