In this day and age, you would not consider having a PC without some level of AV on it, would you……… Would you? We’ll take this further for you and look at the whole picture – it may be that you also need Anti Virus protection for your Server –and are your laptops secure as well?

It doesn’t stop there, the minute you connect your network to the Internet you open your door to all that it has to offer, but like any door you need to make sure that unwanted visitors do not come through. Our Security Team are on hand to advise you on how to protect yourself against the threats poised by Hackers, by deploying one of our award winning Firewalls.

The Virtual Private Network used to be so expensive it was only available to larger companies. Our experience in this field means that we have been able to put together a range of packages that will suit all budgets.

We know that communication is crucial to companies these days, and we can make it available to you to access your network from almost anywhere in the world.

Network Security

BVR offers a wide range of security products, services and solutions to companies of all sizes, ensuring your business assets are protected from both internal and external sabotage. These include network anti-virus applications, firewalls and Authentication Servers. We have protected the smallest of companies to large organisations and even have experience in the Industrial Espionage Battlefield.

Disaster Recovery

Some form of Disaster Recovery is essential for organisations.

In order to minimise the disruption that may be caused you will need a Disaster Recovery Plan in place. The basic Plan that most companies use is to backup data on to tape and to store the tape off-site.

If you ever need to restore your data from the last available tape you could be without a Fileserver and Data for at least 3 working days. This is an estimate based upon the assumption that the backup Tape supplied works and that there is a replacement Fileserver available.

Our proposal is that you have a replacement Server stored off-site, which is regularly tested with your backup tapes. In the event of a disaster, we can restore your latest available backup tape to the Server and Install this unit on-site within 8 working hours. All that is then required will be to connect the workstations and printers to the new Server.

Network Support and Maintenance

Having dedicated IT staff can be very expensive, especially for a small business. You may not have the time or the inclination to keep abreast of new technology and innovations within the computer world that could benefit your organisation.

With A BVR support contract, you may have a problem that involves more detailed knowledge of your system, or you may be uneasy in undertaking certain instructions only on the Phone. With your permission we can dial into your Network Fileserver to try to resolve the problem.

Where problems are unable to be resolved by either telephone support method, a site visit would be arranged. An appointment would be made to visit your premises at the earliest mutually convenient time.

Support is normally available Monday - Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. 4 working hours for Fileserver, 8 Working Hours for Workstation

Your BVR Account manager will be a "Virtual IT Manager" and we can also allocate a dedicated IT Support Engineer. This is very useful to the smaller businesses who cannot afford the luxury of dedicated IT staff. A member of our support staff will visit your site at pre-determined intervals. This can be as from as little as half a day a month, with no upper limit.

They will perform any computer related duties during their visit that you require. This could include:

  • Routine System Healthchecks – (like updating anti-virus software)
  • Installing New Software or Hardware
  • Investigate New Technology
  • Adding or Removing Users
  • Training New Staff

This ensures that you to get on with doing what you do best, run your business efficiently, and let us worry about supporting your computer system.

All non contract site visits are chargeable. These are calculated on an hourly on-site basis, subject to a minimum call out charge. Working outside of normal hours is available, however additional charges apply.
