Our inspiration

The Broadband Britain Challenge was inspired by the Government's vision of a Broadband Britain - an initiative that set out to make the UK the most competitive and extensive broadband market in the G8 nations (the top eight industrial nations in the world) by 2005.

We've set out to gather broadband success stories from ordinary British people who are doing extraordinary things with broadband. Our aim is to use these stories to inspire the UK and show them what broadband can do for them.

The Broadband Britain Challenge sets out to recognise and celebrate the pioneers of broadband - each champion will be presented with a prestigious trophy at a V.I.P. ceremony and celebrity event.
