With Mayberry donating profits from all hot drinks sold during the morning, the fundraising was further boosted by special cake sales, donation buckets, lottery ticket sales and a tombola, organised by the garden centre. South Downs Raptor Club brought their birds of prey down to support the event, and let visitors to the coffee morning meet some of their fluffy friends.

With his wish, Mike Weatherley revealed that he is one of only a few Conservatives who is anti-nuclear, wishing that 'there is no need for nuclear power'. The mayor called for 'less pollution and cleaner air' in her wish.
